Oak & Tin Table
This has been created from an ancient oak beam which had developed many deep fissures as it matured over several centuries. These were exploited by filling with molten tin which was then polished to a mirror like finish in a process taking many hours.
Mounted on solid blocks of crystal clear acrylic, the heavy beam seems to float above the floor. This is enhanced by the 10mm toughened glass top which sits on small acrylic posts so that it too appears to be hovering.
